Over the weekend, Hip Hop lost another founding father, MC BRED. Before Eminem made Detroit a accepted rest haven for Hip Hop, MC BREED put The D on the map and helped
put the midwest on the map.
Breed had been in an Atlanta hospital since Sept. 5h after his kidneys collapsed while
playing a game of pickup basketball. He remained on life support and was taken off
once his condition improved but stayed in the hospital. He lost the fight on saturday
11/22.
I recall one night walking up to a Digable Planets concert and seeing Tupac and Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez hangin out with Breed parking lot pimpin. Who knew they would all leave us before their time. Hey, maybe they are all up there crafting the perfect album that we will all get to hear one day...
